Description
A demand-driven skills building project funded by PEPFAR under the DREAMS-IC that sort to improve employability prospects and income generating capacities of AGYWs from disadvantaged backgrounds thus decreasing the risk of transactional sex and exposure to HIV infection. The girls learnt; technical, life and business skills including financial literacy and received job placement support.
We provided short term tailor made training to 537 AGYW, created a network of 20 business enterprises that provided job placement opportunities and business mentorship to the AGYW. 174 AGYW have so far secured wage employment while 10 others have established own business.
